I just bought my SRT-6 roadster last weekend (80 miles, charcoal grey, $32,000). ;-) Seems like there were a lot of these in stock and are now being cleared out through wholesale auctions to other dealers willing to bargain (probably due to the sale of Chrysler). I've wanted one of these cars for 2 years, and came close several times in the past to buying one.

Love the car so far, but am getting used to the automatic transmission. I've only owned manual shifting cars in the past. When I punch the gas, it will often downshift 2 gears instead of one, and rev the engine really hard, and then almost immediately upshift one gear. I found this a little annoying, and have starting relying on the autostick to downshift, instead of letting the car do it itself.

Do most of you use the autostick for downshifting? If not, how do you prevent the car from the "double-downshift, immediate single upshift" whiplash?
