Problem solved!! After being informed there was a TSB and checking the service manual, I realized that the sound of compressed air that I was hearing whenever the locks engage was the problem. I found a break in the yellow vacuum hose that runs to the liftgate lock inside the rubber housing at the upper right corner of the liftgate. I was able to fit a piece of tubing over each end and I now have a functioning hatch lock!! Thanks for the help.
Hey dude can you describe what you did in order to fix this? How did the tubing work out?...sorry if you could describe this a little better for me.
