The fix has worked fine. I was fortunate that the leak was in an area of the hose that could be relatively easily accessed. You may be able to pinpoint the location by the sound. Again, rather than replacing the whole hose, I just found a piece of tubing I had around that snugly over each end after I cut the cracked hose. GOOD LUCK.
