Autosticks don't have the luxury of revving the engine prior to engaging the drive gears. Thus, MB in all it's wisdom decided that "that's not what the driver really intended" and created throttle memory. BAD DECISION ON MB.

I hope it (throttle memory) can be turned off. After all - we are not flying a $125 million fighter jet that must combat improper aerodynamic inputs from a 25 year old, hormone induced pilot. (Or are we?)
