In my humble opinion, if this is a street car only, you will be OK running aluminum spacers up to 20mm on the rear and 12mm on the front. You will have much better turning response and better traction... If you plan on running the car on the track (road racing), please do not use "off the shelf" spacers unless you consult with a reputable racing shop because the longer bolts needed to attach the wheels to the hub with the spacers are not are robust...
