intense, the 2.5 is a DOG. I did about everything you could to my '95 and it was still s...l...o...w.
A neighbor of mine when I lived out in CO had a 454 in his. It was one evil machine. You might want to check around for a newer 4.0 I-6. They have fairly decent power and are fairly reliable too.
