I had the exact same thing happen on my '04 coupe and it was repaired under warranty. The dealer subcontracted the work out to an interior specialist who came to the dealer and did the work. I recall seeing the invoice to the dealer and I think it was about $85. The repair involved using a clay bar and repainting.
