I bet if you did the did some modding to the srt-6 it could beat the m3.
I'm not sure if the M3 has as good a launch as the x-fire. I read about the m3 that it doesn't put down full hp/tq in 1st-2nd gears? It could be making too much hp for the drivetrain in those gears. I'm sure the car can take it a few times, but BMW has to sell it with a warrantee. correct me if I'm wrong.
