Only 5 Days...what A Piker...my Xfire Was Rear Ended On April 11.
two Months Ago.

It's Been At The Chrysler (5 Star - Ha!) Dealer's Body Shop Since Then...been Driving A Honda Accord (enterprise). I Went From A Banana Split To A Vanilla Cone!

Same Old Excuses From Dealer...

Waiting On Parts...waiting On Parts...waiting On Parts...car 1/2 Disassembled.

The Body Shop Manager Has The Stink Of A Used Car Salesman About Him. He Tried To Get Me To Sign The Two-party Insurance Check Over To Him Last Week. He Said The Check Was Going To Expire In 60 Days And He Wanted To Recoup His Outlay For The Parts He Ordered. The Check Is Good For 365 Days And I Told Him That I Would Not Be Signing The Check Until The Xfire Is Repaired And I Had Inspected And Driven The Car. A Real Slime Ball! I Wonder How Many Other People He Pulled This Stunt On And Succeeded.

I E-mailed Karmann (germany) To See If They Can Help. Karmann Said That Dealer Should Call Them Direct And Provided A Tel #.

Miracle Of Miracles, The Dealer Said (the Same Day) That They Now Have All Of The Parts Needed. They Would Start Immediately On The Repair!

Two Weeks Later, After Some Additional Minor Disassembly Work (about 6 Hours With A Sawzall) Was Completed, The Dealer Now Says That One Of The "major" Parts They Received Was Labeled Wrong And They Have To Re-order The Part, They Blame Chrysler.

It's An On-going Saga. The Dealer Called Me This Past Friday And Said That They Want To Talk To Me "in-person" Today Or Tomorrow As They Feel That I Should Not Be Upset With Them, That The Problem Lies With Chrysler.

More Of The Same Old B.S.

I Love My Xfire, It's My 1st Chrylser Purchase. But I Will Never, Ever Buy Another Chrysler Or Mercedes Product.

It Will Probably Another Month Until My Repair Is Completed If I Am Very, Very Lucky.
