I personally don't like it, and I can't think of a good reason for it. I've never set my CC in any gear but 6th, and why I (or anyone) would want to downshift while maintaining a set CC speed is beyond me. I think it's a potentially dangerous flaw that necessitates an extra step (canceling CC). Just my .02
