Hi yall!

A month ago when I purchased my '05 Crossfire "ragtop" the dealer told me that I needed to exclusively run premium fuel in the car. In the past I have had conversations with mechanics, a car guy on the radio and even a chemical engineer or two. All of them agree that the higher octane fuel is unnecessary because the on board computer will retard the timing if I run the lower octane and that I would not see a big decrease in performance. I use to own a Corvette and ran the regular unleaded fuel with no problems.

I just had the other woman in the shop for hesitation coming from a stand still. The technician at the dealership said there was nothing he could find wrong and that no codes were showing up.

Could the hesitation I felt be a result of the lower octane fuel?
