Re: Ribbed Hood
MMZ_Timelord,
Nice Work!
Buggy4crossfires,
I understand and respect your "philosophy" regarding modifications.
I have a different approach: I find the basic lines of the Crossfire beautiful, but I believe that cluttering styling elements were added as it came to production and am planning to bring my car back closer to the original concept (simplify).
In my opinion the hood/wing strakes/ribs are at variance with the basic lines of the car; this is especially evident when looking at it from above.
I also believe that the "face" of the car was manipulated to showcase the Chrysler identity. I think this "face" is actually more compatible to the Chrysler minivan and the Sebring than to the Crossfire.
I emphasize: these are my opinions: I don't expect them to be popular. I enjoy many of the Crossfires that I see on the forum even when they are modified in ways that I would not consider for my car.
I have only had my car and been on the forum for 3 months, but am really impressed by the number of truly enthusiastic members/Crossfire owners there are.
