It depends on what you have inline with it... Just as a plug & play with the stock Crossfire, the PCMSCAN software will read and record all supported PID's, it will also read / record /delete DTC's and reset the MIL. If you integrate a wideband 02 sensor it will read & record AFR.
The ELMSCAN5 interface will access the OBD port to connect your computer to run the data log software... It will also allow you to integrate additional software that will allow you to manipulate the ECU and remap it's parameters or reflash your ECU... In other words, you could install your own PowerChip / SuperChip, etc...
