I have probably mentioned it before but there is a stack of open source (read FREE) logging and diagnostic code which works with the ELMSCAN. I find that you have to be very selective with the number and frequency of the PIDs you log with ELM in order to get sufficient resolution if you are trying to see one value change in response to another.
I agree, I am only able to log 19 PID's simultaneously under track conditions... And they are logging per 5 seconds... I have the PCMSCAN software OBD setup at 150 milliseconds... Anything less drops PID's... I still have to familiarize myself more with the interface... The ELM5 has dip switches inside that will allow faster refresh times...
