I bought the car because of the look and feel while driving. I didn't buy the car because I was worried about how it was going to be serviced. Not to get into a pi$$ing match with anyone here but it's a car... a car, that over time, is going to get a dent or two, a nick, a scratch, a smudge and a dealer experience or 2 or 3. It's also (for a few) going loose its appeal for a newer, sleeker, faster, prettier new toy. Because in reality that's what it is...a toy. I didn't buy it to take the kids to school or go grocery shopping. I bought it to
drive it
I love my Crossfire. I also realize I can take some of the maintenance issues into my own hands. I also realize there are many I can't. So over time, the dealer (or someone else) will screw something up, scratch, mare, dent, smudge, spindle and mutilate some aspect of my car. In the mean time I'm going to enjoy every minute I can
driving mine. That's why I bought it... to
drive it, and wash it, and wax it and touch it, and smell it and enjoy all of the perplexed and admiring looks I get when I am
driving it.
I love my Crossfire. I'm going to spend my time
driving my car and not worrying about all the stuff that may, can and will happen over time. I'm going to spend my time having fun with the car while it looks, feels and responds like it does now. The car is a solid build and I'm pretty sure it will perform for many years to come since it's not my daily use vehicle.
We can all read till were blue in face about the reliability of every car on the planet today and the service issues with every one of them. I'm going to
drive my car because I didn't buy it for the 5 star service or the warranty or the reliability. I bought it because I thought is was the coolest piece of metal and plastic on 4 wheels under $25,000.00. I bought it because it has a little Mercedes under the skin, I bought it because it makes me feel GREAT when I'm behind the wheel
driving, I bought it because it's a anomaly.
I've owned a good number of sports cars in my life and all I can say is I love my Crossfire. I may trade it, sell it, wreck it or give it to my kids but what I know I will be doing with it now is
driving it! As with the other great cars I've owned this one will leave me with memories and thrills that no other car will be able to replicate and thats what makes it so fun for me to own a Crossfire.
