I may have found the reason some of the companies gave up on our grills. I decided to pull the grill forward to get an idea of how it would look versus the recessed look I had tried. When pulled forward you cannot put your hand under the hood edge to release the latch mechanism. Most on the forum have said they want grill forward and not recessed. There would have to be a cutout on the grill to allow your hand to press the release. That cutout would be visible just as the edges show on the picture below that they are not tall enough.
