Yeah this was an interesting development. Hard to say what it means for Chrysler. I think if the shared Mercedes / Chrysler stuff works, like the 300c, than the Chrysler folks will do more sharing with Merc. and they won't need Mitsubishi. It makes sense to me, since they're trying to take the brand upscale. I believe the Sebring is a Mitsubishi with a Chrysler body, and while I'm sure it's a perfectly serviceable car, it looks dated and seemingly represents the past rather than the future.
