Re: Is the brake install any different on the SRT
Based on my lack of responses from my first post...I just finished replacing/changing the brake pads on my SRT 6 (it has 800 miles on it) and will therefore submit an answer to my own question in case anyone else was curious (probably not).
I had already swapped pads on a 2004 coupe and assumed it would be very similar to replacing pads on my "new" SRT-6...it was with two (2) noted differences; 1) The front caliper slide pins are Torx heads and not allen heads as were on my 2004 coupe (so you'll need a torx socket - size T40); and, 2) the rears have two (2) retaining clips in lieu of one...everything else is just like the step by step instructions posted by Andrew.
Also, I replaced my stock pads with EBC Red Stuff ceramics. First test drive was noise free and I did not notice any difference in performance. Plus the red shoes look distinctive (to me...IMO). Also I am posting (with a pic) in a separate thread that I found a "chunk" missing from my left front outboard pad...as I mentioned only 800 miles on the car...I assume an isolated incident.
