I have 18x8.5 in the front with a 35mm offset and they do not rub either (stock tire size). If you go to a wider front tire you will most likely start rubbing the upper ball joint bolt and nut.

If you have lowered the car then the inside fender rubbing problem will show up much worse as well.

I also have 19x9.5 in the rear with a 35mm offset. I have yet to put a spacer on the rears as I track the car and don't want to compromise the strength of the wheel-hub connection.
