Forums are public discussions and as such should never had portions deleted. You can't go back and delete part of a spoken conversation and I don't think you should be able to do so on a forum. In fact, I think giving forum members more than about 10 minutes to edit a post is overly generous as editing should be for nothing more than correcting typos, etc. Of course, use of spell check would negate editing altogether.

But deleting posts breaks the continuity of a discussion for future readers. I have gathered a lot of valuable info from reading old threads since buying my Crossfire just a few weeks ago. I can't image how irritated I would be if a bunch of those threads had big holes in them because someone felt their posts should be deleted just because they no longer own the vehicle being discussed.
