Default Re: Central Texas Crossfires (CTC) Logo - opinions?

Roy,

I can definitely make it taller (and it was originally).

The problem I have with making the image too tall is the fact that 90% of its usage will be on forums like this (I assume). If you use too tall of an image, you end up taking up a lot of space, looking rather bulky, and it can get annoying to have too many people with large signatures, etc.

For T-Shirts, taller would definitely work. But what about vinyl decals? No one would want a decal that is overly-bulky. They'll want something slim and trim, but still able to get the message across (IMHO).

My point is this - different uses require different designs. The 'basic' design of the outline of texas, with the wording, WITHOUT the CTC looks best, and most professional IMHO.

Add the CTC (taller) and the Crossfire Silhouettes, and you end up with a pretty rowdy looking design for the back of a t-shirt.

The black/white image would make a great vinyl decal for a rear-window or under the spoiler. It is one or two colors, which will allow you to cut it out of vinyl in lieu of printing on-top of vinyl (this gets expensive).

So, what use is this 'logo' going to see? I guess that would help me when designing.

And, I am not against several different variations of the same logo - so keep on making the suggestions! I can make one for shirts, change it a bit for the forum usage, and then again for decals, etc.

Main thing is to keep the same general design so that it is recognizable in all of its uses.
