Yes it is not a good time to trade or sell a used Crossfire right now. But there is a finite supply since Karmann's production contract is finished.
A couple of years from now resale values will even out. Since there were no significant changes done to the car during the run I think mileage and condition will largely determine the actual resale value after a few years have passed. I'd pay more for a 2004 with really low miles than a 2006 with a ton of miles on it ! I mean, it's really the same car, nothing changed except the paint colors and trim details.
