Well it wasn't actually a field, it was a piece of disused road where the tarmac had broken up leaving a loose gravelly surface. Quite honestly the car is in more danger of getting paint damage driving at 80 mph down the motorway on the way to work, and leaving it in the car park everyday. As for the 'fit and finish' mine is still better than most I have seen on a dealers lot. It gets driven daily, lives outside in the UK climate but still has no door dings, swirls, curb rash, bumper scrapes, misaligned panels etc. That's after 33,000 miles, nearly a 1,000 of which were on the track. This car is engineered to last! Here's some pics from today after washing it. Its summer so obviously it was raining...
