Before I switched to XM, (another story), I had a Clarion unit mounted on the dash. It was their first generation of sirius radios so the hideaway box was a bit large. The good news was that the controller matched the dark grey on the dash very well. I had it mounted on the left hand side of the steering wheel near the headlight switch. It did not have the new features available now but it was very understated in appearance. The illumination could be set to green to match the Crossfire. It was hard to spot from outside the car so I did not feel nervous about parking with the top down.

Install was very simple, just power and ground and the antenna connector.

There's still loads of them on ebay, just look for SRSIR-001. I still have the old one if someone wants it.
