Re: Howdy from this Newbie
Well howdy back! We moved from Houston to Raleigh recently. My wife's work brought us here. She's Houston born I am actually from NE Kansas. Moved to Houston in '81. Right about now I'm missing the rain and the food, LOL! Congrats on your purchase! Fun isn't it!
This is our first true sports car...as far as I'm concerned it's not a sports car unless you can pop the top so good choice on the roadster. I'm hoping to catch up to some other owners here to rally, cruise and show and shine with...it's amazing how many people don't know what these cars are!
I stopped at a furniture store today to poke around and returned to the front to hear three of the salespeople standing on front of the window discussing what make my car was.
My other goal is that now I'm retired I'd really like to maybe pick up another x-fire and start doing some autocross racing. That was an earlier dream that was never realized even though I went through the Bondurant Drivers Course. Although that driving experience came in handy later when I got into the film business in Houston.
Hmmm, from a Merc to a Merc in Chrysler clothing...still a good trade I think!
Glad your not floating...and equally glad our house sold quickly before all the rain really kicked in...that's some coincidence about the Noah movie release as you were getting all that rain. Not sure exactly where you are in relation to Houston but some of my friends in Houston tell me they are real unhappy about all the wetness. We are about to start water rationing here it's so dry. Thought we were going to get a little soaker last night but it just made a little noise and knocked the power out for about thirty minutes.
Gotta run, it sounds like my sisters on the phone. Hoping here daughter delivered today. We have a reunion in two weeks so it'll be nice to have a new addition to celebrate.
Talk to you later!
