That sounds more like a cooling fan, but that shouldn't come on at startup, unless you have the AC on. The air pump should only come into play at warm up. Are we talking about the same thing here? On the non-srt cars the pump sits at the front of the engine between the 'V', but I think it is relocated on the SRT because of the supercharger. I'm sure another SRT owner will chime in on this.
