LOL at least your being educated on this... I was un-aware of a few of these things till only a week ago...
A ricer is defined as someone who tries to show off a JDM car by adding different performance products or visuals... such as body kits, lights, stickers, high pitched mufflers.
but now supposively its okay for someone to own a JDM car and can not be called a ricer as long as they dont do these things to them... I dont believe that... I think if you own a Rx8, Rx7, GT-R, NSX, RSX... and pretty much anything that are AMAZING JDM cars... you are still a ricer... because its made in Japan... much like someone calling our cars a krout car... cuz well its made in germany... im not gonna say... *annoying voice* well its not really cuz its american designed... its german.. its a krout car...
back to the fact of ricers... I think those cars are beauitful! I make fun of them all the time... but truely they are SWEET cars... I dont care if you take your old grandmas civic add a kmart muffler and put a spoiler on it the side of a VW bug... THATS YOUR CAR! and you put effort into it! gratz! ... but dont be surprised if i make fun of it!
so non-politically correct a "ricer" is anything made outta Japan...
PC its taking a JDM and making it look flashy!
now when your talking about a neon... or a cavalier... and they add that stuff too it... its call "stupid" ... j/k

its called "euro'ing" or as referred to us before on this forum "Uncle Ben'ing" because there is american rice and its called Uncle Ben's rice... but IMO ... doing something like this to an american car deserves a big old "middle finger" to the driver... i dont care if they added $20,000 to their cavalier... that was stupid of them...
So i hope this helps! like I said ... I'm in complete support of Rice'ing... just not doing things to a cavalier...
and the quote that I use... "over night parts from japan" its from the leader in america of this movement... Fast and the Furious...
