I define rice, along with most other non-bigotous people, as distasteful modifications to an Asian car, especially that do not actually or noticeably increase performance. This is a perfect example of what I would consider rice:

I do not consider many cars to be rice direct from the factory, but the Mazda RX8 and Lexuses I consider to be rice. The most distinctive sign of rice is altezza taillights: taillights with the reflective chrome look around them.
