I remember in the 80's people called small gas-saving japanese cars "Rice Burners". Usually people who resented people buying those cars called them that. There was a bumper sticker I used to see back then saying "Hungry? Out of work? Eat Your Rice Burner"

Since then the kids started customizing Civics, Eclipses and such just to get attention and it got so crazy that they were looking goofy with stickers, huge tails and low profile tires with large wheels and now lambo doors. :roll:
