Comp claims don't go against you. Collision claims do. Some states may have different laws but for the most part it doesn't affect your rate, it doesn't affect your insurability unless you have an abundance of them. By the way cigocifer why don't you call your agent and ask? tell him you have some rock chips in your windshield. A lot of places will also suggest what Fenwick223 said...they have a patch that works really well on small places and our company waives your deductible on repairs vs. replacement. If the window breaks further then its replaced.
