I tried installing the headlight film over my lamps, it was a darker smoked out color. It looked really cool but I wasn't getting enough light projection out of them at night, so I decided to take them off. What a surprise I had when I did this. Mind you this was a perfect set of clear headlamps too. So after I pulled the film off the car I was shock to see the plastic lenses where both affected by micro cracking all over the lens. WTF? Totally ruined the headlamps, but I was still under warrantee so they are being replaced. I'm thinking the cause of haze and cracking was do to the layer of film insulating the headlamps and over heating the plastic?

Now I just lightly polish the headlamps with a micro fiber cloth and a special plastics cleaner and polisher for lexan parts on motorcycles. so watch out what you put on there.
