Alright I did a search and nothing came up..
What's up with this ? Seems too cheap/simple to really work !

I'm guessing it's just a load resistor to skew a sensor output.
I think it changes the ambient air temperature sensor's output.
So the ECU thinks it's colder than it really is and goes richer. That might work short-term but I would guess the O2 sensors would just correct after a period of operation in "closed loop" mode. Given enough start-run cycles the ECU would probably detect the sensor values a being out of spec and "throw a code"
Any body experiment with something similar ?
