Scroll down and you'll see a variety of padded leather armrest pads which mount using the factory torx head screws. Kinda pricy but nicely done.

Of course you could just remove the silver plastic insert, add padding and wrap it in cloth or thin soft leather and re-attach to the console lid. I'm looking for a large enough scrap piece of microfiber or thin suede to cover mine. Total cost will be virtually zero not counting an hour or two spent in the garage.
