I purchased a BMW M Roadster on Ebay and it was actually the easiest car buying experience I had ever had. I was totally skeptical. I flew one way to San Francisco from L.A. and the guy picked me up from the airport. Waiting for him to pick me up was scary, but it really worked out and he gave me the opportunity to back out of the sale if I wanted due to his fear of negative feedback. I would actually recommend this over dealing with a dealer in person as long as there is some kind of satisfaction agreement and you being able to back out if the car was not represented accurately.
