Not sure. I guess I would put mouse traps or the like underneath or around it.
You might want to Google that question and see what some of the collector car guys do. I found some good links a while back (they are posted on here somewhere, can't remember where though).

I think so. Though I will put a coat of Carnauba wax on before I cover it for the winter.
It is not as soft as a cloth cover, but as long as your car is clean and has a good coat of wax, I would think it would be fine.
