if you even think that you may need to drive in the snow you should avoid any of the summer tires including the Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3, Continental ContiSportContact 2, Bridgestone Potenza RE050A, etc. none of these tires were designed to drive in any degree of snow or ice. if you want to be able to drive in even limited frozen precipitation, opt for something like Continental ContiTouringContact CW95, Michelin Pilot Sport A/S, or Yokohama ADVAN S.4.
