As far as I know NGK is more popular with the Japanese tuners and engines...

Most of the C/SLK owners went with Denso Iridium and have posted good results... you can go with the IK16s for the stock engine or IK20s for a modded engine... They are not as long lasting as platinum, but have been positively reviewed from my reading...
