I just bought a 2006 Base Coupe in Aug. '07 for $18,800. Never thought to apply the NOS term to it...I like that. My dealer had a handful of limited roadsters for around 27K.
Anyway, It may pay to search out a 2006 as mine qualified for the Lifetime Powertrain Warranty (2005's Do Not). Below are some details of my purchase that I posted to another thread.
My purchase was made at Hillview Motors (Greensburg PA) on 8/24. What attracted me to Hillview was that they published the discounted price for all of their XFs on the internet which no one could match or beat. Believe me I tried. No dealers in Northern Virginia would get within $3,500 of Hillviews prices. In addition to the price, Chryslers new unlimited mileage powertrain warranty that applies to new 2006 XFs purchased after 7/24/2007 sealed the deal.
I always loved the Crossfire and hope that I would eventually end up with a used one. I always figured that they would depreciate fast (no offense, its just that people have no idea what an XF really is . I also figured that there would be many low mileage used ones available because for many folks a Crossfire is just a toy and doesn't get driven much.
When I purchased my XF, Hillview had 19 new 2006's in their inventory, at last check they have 9.
See Hillviews inventory for their published internet price.

I stumbled across Hillview Motors this summer and found that they have the lowest prices on New XFs anywhere (see their online inventory). I have since learned that Steve White Chrysler in Hickory NC may have similar prices and a larger inventory.
My salesman explained to me that with Chrysler offering a $10,000 check to the dealer for each XF sold, that Hillviews owner wanted a Million dollar check from Chrysler. To do this, they managed to take delivery of 104 XFs in the Feb. 2007 timeframe. It was decided that they would sell the XF "at cost" and use them to meet their monthly sales goals for cars sold. He went on to say that they did a similar program when Neons were replaced by Calibers.
You can walk onto any Chyrsler lot and the usually the only discount they will offer on an XF is the $10,000 and no more. Hillview goes way beyond that. They say they are selling it at cost. If they aren't, they must be close.
I am not trying to make a Hillview commercial, I only wanted to share my experience so that others may take advantage. I feel that my XF purchase was a deal of a lifetime. Never again will I have an opportunity to purchase a new Mercedes sportscar with an unlimited mileage warranty for well under 20k.
Lovin my Crossfire.
