Default Re: About to Buy a Xfire

I purchased a new 06' Limited in CA and a "NOS" 05' SRT-6 from Ill.

ALL Crossfires, regardless of model, and "where sold" are smog legal in all 50 states. (I called Chrysler on that one).

You will have pains registering a "new titled" automobile in CA if you buy it out-of-state unless you register it (with plates) in that state first. I think you must wait one year before getting CA title.

NOS or "previously titled" AKA "Used Car" - no problems registering in CA. MY SRT was delivered and all I had was the Certificate of Origin from Chrysler stamped "used Car" in red - signed over to me and CA DMV happily registered it.

So if you want the lifetime warranty you need to buy a "new" XF - then good luck with CA DMV.
