Default Re: buying used, can i certify it?

I wanted to see if I could get an update on the warranty topic.
I just purchased a 2006 blaze red base roadster with the SE package and ASP tires. It had 380 miles and was considered a used car since it had been previously titled. I've had the car for two days and love it. The price was great, the trade in $ (Mini Cooper S) very fair and the dealer has been terrific to work with (Pete's Chrysler in Gt Barrington MA).

The car has the rest of the 3/36 (in svc date 8/07). Based on what i've read on the forum purchasing an extended Chrysler warranty makes a lot of sense. So, finally, a question...

Anyone have any opinion on buying the contract from other than the selling/servicing dealer? I can save a few bucks but I don't know if I will be shooting myself in the foot to save a little.

Q2 Is there anything other than the standard contract that can/should be included to fit Xfire specifically?

Sorry to ramble, first time posting and I wanted to get info out there for all of you that have already gone through what I'm looking at.
