Default Re: may purchase

Some of the new car dealers that got these cars back from Chrysler, if not eligible for the Lifetime Powertrain Warranty (which by the way I learned is only for the original purchaser only) give a warranty as certified 8/80 which is transferable for a fee of around $100 to $150 to the next buyers. That is what I wound up with, I had about 20 miles, was a Chrysler holdback, and even though I just took delivery, in actuality the warranty started last Feb, since thats when the dealer actually committed to the unit, or when Chrysler sold it to the New car dealer. Weighing it out I think the 8/80 works better for me if I sell it more than 3 years down the road and offer the Chrysler warranty to who ever buys it.
Also, The 3/36 also kicked in (in my case on Feb '07 as well). Just another door for you to explore.
