I assume the warranty in Canada would be the same as in the US. Your owner's manual should give a description of what is and what is not covered under the warranty. The powertrain warranty only covers a small list of mechanical parts in the engine, transmission and rear end. Nothing electrical is covered under the powertrain warranty, so if your bumper to bumper warranty has expired you will be stuck with the bill.
