Lower that drag coefficient and the thing will go much, much faster. Gordon Murray, designer of the McLaren F1 road car of several years ago (which did 241 mph officially - with a mere 600 odd HP) said that "his" car would only need around 850 HP (I forget the exact number from the article) to reach the same 254 mph of the 1,001 HP Bugatti Veyron, such is it's aerodynamic efficiency and far lower weight.
I'm less impressed with a car being stupid fast because it makes stupid HP than I am with one accomplishing the task in a much more elegant fashion.
But wow, can you imagine doing those speeds on a two lane road?!?!?! What a freakin' rush that must have been!!!
