Just put the right fuel in it ... I see the same 'octane debate' on most every forum for nearly every newer car I've ever owned, to include Harley Davidson forums. If you can't afford the fuel, you probably can't afford the car. I think the only forum I've NOT seen the octane debate is the Viper forums - Those guys would go off on anyone suggesting they know better than the manufacturer. :-)
