The amount of loss in the drivetrain may make a difference as well, although a 6spd vette should have less parasitic loss than the auto SRT.

The guy I pulled up against was definitely in a 6spd because my car would take a little more lead each time he shifted.

I'm not sure which year it was though...but definitely a C5, non Z06.

I'm not sure what the actual (non magazine) times are on C5's, but I know there are several folks with the SRT6's into the upper 12's completely stock. One guy was at 12.6 with K&N's and a resonator removal.
