follow zorro's advice above and go to a Chrysler dealership and see if you can transfer the 7/70 powertrain warranty.

otherwise, self insurance is the best option if you can afford the cost of an unlikely but expensive repair. over the course of a lifetime of car ownership, the odds of having a net cost benefit from purchasing extended service plans is about the same as winning the lottery.
