We had the top fully closed today and went through the car wash. The guys were going around the car with the pressure washer things before we actually entered the automated car wash. All of a sudden I feel a splash of water! I look and the painted body section behind the seats is a little wet! So obviously he sprayed it just right and some of the water came inside and splashed inside the car a bit.

Now, we're not talking much water, but I don't know how air-tight these are supposed to be! Am I going to have to worry about ice INSIDE the car in the Michigan winters?? Should I look at getting this fixed? When we went through the automated car wash, no water came in... just when the guy nailed it with the hand-held pressure gun. And it never comes in when it's raining either.

Any insight would be helpful. Thanks in advance!!
I had the same thing happen to me and it was due to the tape that's around where the top connects to the car - if its bubbled at all, then its time to get it replaced. Its under warranty, takes a day and it made all the difference in the world...

I take my car through touchless car washes - some on this site don't agree with doing that, however for those that don't have the time to handwash (like me) that's really the only way to keep a clean car.

Good luck and may you not get splashed in the back of the head again!
