My brother in-law works for Chrysler LLC and he gets massive deals on that kind of stuff ($4,000 for the fuel injected, computer and all, more than half the MSRP) - And I know STARTECH makes a 6.1 at some ridiculous price... so its doable.
Any thoughts on this? And if someone has already made a thread on this, sorry for the dup.
The Startech uses a Mercedes engine not a Chrysler, which does prove a Mercedes swap can be done. I would love to see someone do a HEMI swap. Mechanically these cars are Mercedes and it is easier to swap another Mercedes engine into it than trying to switch it to Mopar. You would also have to fab the motor mounts, and make sure you can bolt the Hemi to the bellhousing or you ware looking at an engine and trans swap. Then you have the computers to sort out which are pretty challenging with just a Mercedes/Mercedes swap.
