I just had my new in-laws come over for a visit this weekend. It's the first time they have been to our house and of course the first time they had ever seen a Crossfire. I took my father in law for a little spin, he's like 84-85, but still doing well for himself. He managed to get in pretty easily with just a bit of help. I was telling him a little about the car as we headed south of where I live. It's like a two lane to no where with long straights and then a little curve then more long straights. It's not quite a mile to where the population ends and desertion begins. It gave the fluids just enough time to warm up and bring the temp gauge up to ready mode. I made a quick 40 to 100 run and then said that was about 40 to 100. He couldn't believe it was that quick and that smooth. I slowed and we cruised out a couple more miles with 1-2 more sprints to 90-100. I found a spot to turn around to head back and this time on a longer straight I let it wind to 120. He was grinning and giggly at the same time. He could still feel it pulling hard when I started to slow down. He said he'd never been that fast in a car in his life. I gave him one more burst before we got back, rolling about 20 or so and nailing it, it has such a jump as it downshifts to first as that supercharger is winding up and your gone... your doing 60 in a flash. We were back to civilization and then we cruised back to the house. After returning home, my wife took a pic of him next to my Crossfire. He wants a copy so that when he gets back home he can tell all his breakfast buddies about his ride.
