So my next question is, how easy is that to clean the filter? Is it time consuming? Is it a dirty or messy job? How do you apply the oil, do you just spray them on?
Also I found this cleaner & oil kit on Amazon, is this the correct one?

and how long would it last? good for a single time cleaning? or how many times? Thanks.
I use K&Ns in every car I own (always have).
Cleaning the filter is pretty easy. The kit on Amazon is the correct one.
Basically all you do is spray the filter with the solution, rinse it, and let it dry (a few hours). Once dry, you re-oil with the K&N oil. Instructions will be included with the filter recharge kit. I have had the same filter recharge kit for years and I've used it on multiple cars.
The filters are guaranteed for 1 million miles (I believe). I've never had one wear out.
I can't recall how often you need to clean and re-oil, but seems like it is every 30-50,000 miles or so. It should tell you in the supplied instructions.
Hope that helps.
